I see one of those blocks has a major split in it.. Hope it does not go all the way into the piece. Might cause you issues later if a lot of the weight will be sitting on the outer edges and not on the deck..
Good luck also in your new gig.

first time having to use my TWIC card too -
Well I got a very cool load yesterday. Got to go out to the flightline in Meridian Naval Air Station, Mississippi and grab some plane parts and tools and run down to (800 miles) West Palm Beach Int Airport, FL for some repairs on a Navy Training Jet. It pays round trip and hold over time at 450.00 a day. Only prob is, its fixed after 1 hr.so tomorrow morning, going back. Oh, it only weighed less than 10,000 lbs and 4 total pieces.

Ft. Campbell, KY and Holloman AFB will not accept the TWIC card. Just found that out this month when I went there

There was 1 port that wasnt going to take TWIC and I only had my paper CDL with me as it was just renewed and that was at Oakland. I was picking up a "special load" there and had an appt with customs. I got pissed at the lady as she first said to me "dont you understand effin english" and then she denied my TWIC in which I said "you better call your effin boss right now" LMAO she did and they let me in no prob. I also was trying to explain to her that my TWIC supersedes my state issued CDL as its Federal and checked out by homeland security for gods sake. LOL -

I checked in at White Sands with my TWIC and they just ushered me on thru and had the dog walk around my truck. That was it......and it's a nuclear site!!!
I've had them search my truck from top to bottom at Ohare Airport but at a missile range they just let me on it lolMommas_money_maker Thanks this. -
some military bases will ask for your drivers license and some will ask for your twic. it depends on what the base commander has made as policy for that particular base.
some will ask for both. very few places will you be escorted on a base. fort bragg has one section where you go thru additional security after you are on main base and are escorted then to load certain products. ft. campbell only asks for your drivers license when you check in the commercial gate, its not that they wont accept the twic, they dont ask for it, they get more info on you from your drivers license.
the usual deal on a actual flightline is they will check your tires for rocks before you pull out there, rocks are not jet engine friendly . some of the bases are appointment only now. dover afb and red river depot as examples. at dover you will get a walkaround by the k-9 puppy. langley, eglin are pains, langley being the worst. ft.polk has to be the easiest, scan the barcode on your license and youre in.
the problem with twic is no one has the scanners to read the biometric info, so its actually a fancy id card at the moment. if ya cant scan it you cant get the info contained in the chip, they actually havent even approved which scanner they will use.
many ports also require you to have your plate registered with e-modal or you dont get in even with a hired escort.
and a word of advice, dont take pictures when you are on a actual military flightline and post em to the internet . there are ususally signs up saying no photos. someone might get upset.Mommas_money_maker Thanks this.
