It went back to their yard, so unloading was first come, first serve. They just set them on the ground instead of assembling.

It's done and over with, the lesson learned and I got a pic to share with my nephews.

 

ah, to get a boom section is the cats behind, lol. and a good old carbody thats a load

 

I've hauled carbodies and the houses both several different times..
So I know the waiting times came be fun..
Wish I got the pics of when we had to drive under the house...
Was lifted up on the 4 hdy. stands they use.
I really hated doing that and was real nervous.
The reason for that was there was no room to turn and then back under the crane with my 13 axle unit.
I will check and see if my wife has the pics..

 

we used to do a bunch of crane mves with home transport/ mcgil specialized

 

just went thru all pages on this post and just have to say thank you for all the pics it really helps a newbie here get some ideas for the day I'm have to secure some of those pictured on here thanks to all that have post pics n tips

I'm doing a crane move on monday. Bills say I am getting "crane parts" so i have high expetations of another jumbled mess of crap LOL

 

Yeah, been there. I always found when they didn't tell me ahead of time what part I was hauling I got screwed with a mixed bag of crap

Love hauling the counter weights. If it was a step, counter weight on lower deck, back end and boom section on top of the counter other end setting on the upper deck... Ahhhh, good times..

 

Someone in this thread drives a blue flat top star. I saw you heading east on the Indiana washboard turnpike Tuesday. I'm thinkin SHC ?...but I didnt hollar as as I wasnt sure. Your ride was looking large!

 

That sounds like him.... He must have been hauling pallets of cash to the bank...
