Anyone ever haul crushed cars? Got a load of them tomorrow to get me to Iowa to get customer freight going 40 miles from home

Be sure there is nothing protruding more than 4" (or the size of your blocking) from the bottom of the bottom car. You will need long chains. Hopefully, they are wrapped...I believe this is required in some states. If offered, accept the shipper putting plastic down to keep the oil off the deck. Take a walk over the area you will be driving to pick up prior to backing in. When unloading, be careful if they can't pick up the whole stack. The bottom of the stack could break free. If I think of any other pointers, I will let you know.
LoneCowboy, alex94 and skellr Thank this. -

After your first load you'll dead head.
I hated hauling crushed cars, picky picky picky DOT goobers, oil stains on the deck for over a year, and broken glass in the crevices for a long time.
Yeah......... I'll pass. -
I have a load in Iowa going home, just need to cover my fuel which I hate doing I feel like a bottom feeder but what do you do? 690 miles might be a bit excessive? Hopefully Monday I can start my old out and back routine

Plan on waiting in line to offload.
