That was still the case in AL the last time I checked (about 3 months ago). Wierd rule. I wonder if they print the escort requirement on the permit. Otherwise, I am sure plenty of people get nailed for that one.

 

It is still the rule and you better load the blade facing the rear.

 

Not in all states but normal rule of hauling equipment with a blade it always faces to the rear, some states never even put in on the permit but would hate to be caught by anyone with blade forward.
