Nothing wrong with a condo pulling a skateboard, I think if I had one my fuel mileage would be better than 5.9

Yeah I hauled scrap metal we didn't haul very much under 90k and that was because they made their money off weight.

    example:
there's 30 ton's of scrap in a box setting at a machine shop, we haul it into the yard and then they tell the machine shop there was only 24 tons of scrap in the box that's 6 ton they just got for free.

LOL, I heard that, I think ALL scrap companies are shady as can be. I sometimes get loads of scrap on my flatbed from brokers and I always cringe when it has anything to do with scrap...

I don't go bigger because I can't find loads with a stepdeck now that pay anything I look at the rgn loads all the time and really don't see all that many but only look at the markets I know

RGN loads are mostly off board loads, the few on the boards I would not touch with a 50 foot pole.

We do pretty good as a independent small company, networking with direct contacts and providing reliable service to the client is our key. I had a load out of California to Arizona, legal in the well. Brokered called as I was leaving and asked if I could deliver early since the receiver needed it asap for Monday, I said sure and delivered it Saturday, we ended up with the receiver giving us more work direct. No broker fees and nothing off the top with a national equipment company, the way it is worked is all up to the owner and drivers. Moral of my story, customer service.
