    Passinthrhru,
That's why I was asking how heavy, I have the same trailer setup and have been leaving my flip at home lately.

Sometimes the axle is a real pain, but now Wyoming is enforcing a 36k tandem axle limit even with permits. My steering and drives were fine but the way you have to load this truck is cab to the rear only with just a tandem tractor. I was heavy on the trailer and had to flip it down.

Tennessee will only let you have 20k per axle and they are cracking down.

The deal with Wyoming is that your flip being up makes you a multiple piece load. Otherwise with without it they would have let you run to 55k on a tandem that's what we run on our self issues and it should be the same if your buying a permit. Of course coming from the west you bought your permit at evanston and those pricks are famous for making up their own laws.

Some states wil also say if heavy, all axles must be on the ground.
    Or. is good for that.
I get a kick out of some drivers when they see me mty. They yell on the radio that I forgot to lift my tag axle or man he dumb. leaving his axle down mty.
Well it's a TAG axle not a lift.
The only way I can lift mine is by chaining it up and shutting off the air supply to it.
Which I have done from time to time on really long d.h.
Before with my big trl. I had to leave it down even mty or I would be way over on my steer.

    aiwiron and DEMO Thank this.

When I had my tridrive I got the same comments. Problem was it didn't lift at all and if I chained one up it looked mighty strange going down the road spinning I also had to run my power divider when I did that or there was no go at all. I only did that once when I first got the truck. But you want to talk about traction man that thing would go when everyone else was spun out and if you chained up all six you could go farther than anything could get to pull you out as long as there wasn't a corner.
