If you made it with no problems then you did good! Not joking at all, flatbed work is a open source gig and sometimes two people will tie down loads different but it gets the job done all the same.

Thanks!! I made it from Baltimore to Boston I stopped about 4 times to check the chains two out of the 4 times. Having fun pulling flatbeds alot better than pulling a van doing LTL. Just now starting to get into loads that require tarping. Any tips for tarping from you experienced guys? Boss bought me an el cheapo tarp to begin with and I've already messed it up pretty bad. So far I've had to tarp very short loads such as steel plating.

Back to front and keep it tight, use rope to keep it lashed down and bungee cords. Use some kind of edge protectors on every edge, duck tape is one of many things to keep home made edge protectors on the corners.

Hospital corners are good if you get that perfect tarp load.

    Another garbage load...

WM is going to get the best MPG out of this garbage truck. I'm gonna probably get my worst.... From South Fl Delivering in Atlanta Mon. It sits at 14' 9" tall... After I give it 10 flat tires in the morning should be within my permit at 14' 6"

    Trashy truck driver!

Over 14 feet you may need a pole car and a route survey.

yeah, was not fun to load at all... I have blanket permits for FL & GA I'm good for 14'6" with no escorts or surveys. 14'7" I'm screwed.... It took me so long to configure by the time i got to the truck stop it was full. Guess its fitting I'm sitting in a Wal-Mart with a garbage truck....
I had to remove the DOT bar to get it to fit
