    Any load that "rolls on" and takes 15 min to secure and go is a easy load i think, but the rates need to justify the cost/expense of making sure to get it there not damaged.

    A Cpape said, hopefully the slow season will get some of the cheap for-hire guys out of his gravy.

    As far as I am concerned, once the cargo exceeds $100K the rate starts going up. It doesn't matter what I carry for cargo insurance. It is all about exposure. Just because you have insurance, you are still going to pay if there is a claim. This is a lesson that was hammered into my head by my father, and experience just keeps backing it up.

    That is why I refuse to give price lists on a list of routes given to me by big freight forwarders.
    I need to know value and be able to assign level of risk.
    A dozer of the same size and dimension is a lot cheaper and less prone to damage than a mobile single phase transformer rectifier.
    There is no way they are going to be priced nearly the same.

    That picture I posted of that machine my family mfgs is the reason I carry 250 if I haul 2 I have to bump it up to 400k but anywho that load pays me grrrrreat money anywhere I go and I obviously get dibs

    We normally carry $300K, but have one $500K for one customer. Their loads often are between $500-$1 million. Cool stuff but can't talk about them...too good of a customer.

    He is young but has hauled heavy (7 axles now) wide and high on the wheat harvest, thanks
