Nope, but I live in Bama... That also helps. I hate the pats, yanks, and the heat (dont like basketball anyway) Ive rooted for Bama for years.

To be honest, I never watched college football till 2008 when I was at the LS terminal for a weekend and the bowl game between Alabama and Florida was on. Everyone was rooting for FL and Tebow (who I can't stand) so I rooted for Alabama just to irritate everyone else. After the game was over and Tebow was crying, I was hooked!!!

 

I never should have doubted you...why didn't you tell me it was about hating that d-bag. That is a far better reason to pull for Alabama than living there...sorry ORD.

 

I was born with the sickness and I was born in Iowa. Every fall brings back the memories of watching the Hawks from the living room floor, south end zone at Kinnick, or a local watering hole. I remember playing in the back yard, dreaming I was Chuck Long or Ronnie Harmon. I have grown to love college football whether it is Big 10 or SEC. I refer to college football season as the 12 weeks of Christmas.
