Ok I understand that. The way you asked it was like that stuff is required on every OS load when we both know it's not. But that is why it's important to read your permits so you absolutely know for sure what is required especially when you are new to the game like a lot of these guys are.

You would be correct. I should have worded my question differently.

Yeah it was funner on the way back then up as not so stressful. I am thinking about starting a thread for folks who might want to try this as there are so many things you need to know before you go and of course I didnt know them, LOL Some challenging 10 % grades in an area of BC that you dont want to be on in bad weather or heavy loaded in which I was ( oh boy for me) and now at home going to replace my water pump for that one

No strobes needed in Missouri. Flags only required at widest point. Where they were was the best I could do. Only the 2nd one of these loads Ive done. Still learning all this stuff. Did I mention the 2 lane road sucked? lol

You'll get used to the the two lanes if you do anymore wide loads. If you think 11 wide sucked you won't even want to try 16 or 18 wide on a two lane.
Stick flags suck they are hard to put on just about every load. If you would have had some grommet flags you could have bungeed them on you securement and they would have been out o the widest point. I've had hands get tickets for not having their flags out on the widest parts of a load.

No that's not the best you could do. This is why Prime shouldn't be hauling OD loads. Why didn't you zip tie your flags to your straps that were on the widest point of your load?

Here is a photo for you guys to ponder. Saw this yesterday on I39 in Wisconsin. Guy had a load of hay with strobes going, oversize signs front and rear, and flags. As you can see he isnt wide and I dont believe he is overheight, but if you notice the last bale of hay is turned sideways. That was the only thing that stuck out the passenger side. The bale looked the same size as the rest, just turned sideways. Any ideas?
