    That looks like a permit load to me, pole car for that water tank.

    i hate that. I had 20000 lbs Halifax to Montreal last week on a tri axel.. Say goodbye to 1 mpg .....

    Well, I had the first axle lifted, so reduced it to a tandem...

    And I have to say I don't notice ant difference in fuel-mileage with three axles on the road or two. The main thing that screws it up is wind. And hills ofcourse...

    They say you lose 1/2 to1 mpg if you have a third axel on the ground. Def found that to be true. 28000 last week on a tandem thru all the hills in PA and still got almost 8.
