also just curious what you guys keep on your truck as far as flatbed equipment like bulkheads and bungees and small straps and things like that. also what type of boots? i have slip on with good soles and also a pair of hawthorne whites that are logger style that are awesome.
-
equipment wise systems should set you up good, as for bungee's i carry 100 31" stretch, but am looking at getting shock cord for my tarps,
get some WD40 or similar for your ratchet binders to keep them working good,
i wear Sketchers with non slip sole most of the time, and have a pair Justins steel toe for when they are required to get into a job site or mine, nothing more funny to me when a bedder doesn't have all the PPE he needs and ask if he can "borrow" mine, and i never lend mine out kinda gross i think.
they will probably give you a safety vest and hard hat
i have 10 2" ratchet straps (i like the brand pacific cargo) and 15 4" straps
13 3/8 chains and binders
several good will blankets for tarp protection,
Systems use to use Ace Tarps for there tarps if they still do they are very nice quality
i havn't found a good rain gear yet but im still looking you get wet no matter what
several pair of gloves -
i have great rain gear hi vis since i did underground const for almost 5 years. i will buy more leather gloves and def. bungees are a must i will invest in some once i get my own truck. guess ill wait and see what equipment they give me to use before i buy small straps and things like that. wanna go into this prepared. think i can physically do it. im 6'1" and 225 so i should be able to do it but dont wanna look like a ###### with no gear

Hey Maxxi how is the fairbridge inn? Thats where ill be staying at

Mess of crap I picked up today. Took them 5 hours to load and its been a PITA since. Everything has shifted at least once and I lost a few edge protectors from the straps coming loose. And the 50mph didn't help the cause either. I hate loads like this !!!!

That load would have made me bat crap crazy.
