You throw them on the passenger floor, under the heater, for a little while. Shrinks them right back up, in cold weather.

    volvodriver01 and SHC Thank this.

Wonder what he'd have thought if you also added a pair, crossed over the front pallets.

    Gold information!

Also if I was running in the ice and snow all my bungees go to a warm place out of the weather, used to carry a garden sprayer with deicer and found out deicer eats the rubber so learned to not spray them.

I never fault anyone with the too much chain on bungees, or straps. Your load and your rig, plus I bet you will not have bags falling off the truck either.

Just common sense, and yes it only takes most of us years to figure out common sense solutions. But, rubber is more pliable when its warm, than when its cold, so common sense told me to do this. Now, just don't ask me how many years it took me to figure that out!

I measure my common sense education by dollars spent on not thinking things to the end before it hits my wallet.:biggrin_2552:

That won't fix the bungees I have. They are the Kenedyne ones I got from Tarp Stop and even in 115* heat they stay stretched out. I think it's just the bungees, as the 1st box I got from when I was with Pape are very elastic and go right back to their original length.

What brand do you and everyone else use???

99% of mine are from Tarpstop. Whatever they are selling, when I buy them.
