The reason was that often it was such a tight squeeze that I would have to take the edges of the truck to with in inches of gate posts etc. -
Thought the "good buddy" lights were the ones you see in the windshield? Or is that what you mean like inside glowing lol. I've got red lights in the back of my bunk and I'm def no good buddy lmaoaiwiron Thanks this. -

Unfortunately, most major shippers view transportation in terms of 2 things price and capacity. When there is excess capacity, which is the current situation, the really only look at price. In my opinion, the carrier pictured supplies significant capacity to the shipper pictured at competitive prices. The pictures would have zero effect on said carriers business with said shipper. They only care if the unit is damaged when it arrives at the consignee. If so, a claim is filed and the carrier pays. End of story. Unfortunately, this will continue to favor large carriers using only company drivers that operate at lower margins with lots of trucks.

Here is another truck I saw this weekend. I thought the chain rack was pretty interesting. It's obviously an oil field truck, but I still like it

You cant be highly specialized and very large.
To be very large you need to be cheap.
To be highly specialized you cant be cheap.
The right balance is to be cost effective on loads requiring specialist expertise and equipment.
With the load in question it is just not specialized enough so often will often just go to the lowest bidder.SHC Thanks this. -
I think it even has a winch in the middle of the rack.SHC Thanks this.
