When I fold and roll mine, I lay the flap out on top, then fold, then roll from the opposite end. Then I just line that edge up with the end of the load, roll it out and unfold, which leaves the flap in place to flip down, over the front or rear, whichever end I am working on.

Always strecth the tarp out, on the ground, with the Ds up, before folding and rolling, to avoid that. Had a rigging crew try to do it backwards, trying to help me, until I stopped them and explained the situation they were going to put me in.

Its easier, at least for me. I line up the edge of the tarp, with the edge of the load, then unroll it. I make any minor positioning adjustments, while it's still folded, then unfold the sides and flip the flap, when I'm ready.

Man I hope u didnt have to back into that place, Brooklyn !! Was stationed there at the old navy pier back i the 70's on flushing Ave.. When I did flats the trick is when you roll the traps up is to make the roll as tight and small as you can

i have been thinking about laying a length of rope along the folded tarp before i roll it. then i can stand up and pull the rope to unroll it. once upon a time i had back surgery and altho i am fine for lifting and working thebone thing that gets to me is bending over. (no dirty jokes)

I roll mine like autocar, lay my tarp out on the ground or deck depending on how muddy it is, then I fold the flap back to where its even with the edge and then fold my sides in and roll, that way when i roll it out everything is nice and easy...

I always try to roll my tarps neatly and tight so that they are smaller and easier to handle, just makes your life easier in the long run.

Wouldn't that be nice! I roll mine like autocar also. Makes it the easiest to roll out onto a load.
