what else do truckers have to do other than bich about what everyone else is doing...hahahah

Im ocd i like my straps nice and straigh, plus when they get cold and wet it makes them much easier to roll back up...alot of people think it looks sloppy when the straps are thrown all over load twisted every which way..

    cpassey and alex94 Thank this.

Huge difference between a simple half twist and what you are referring to!

Either way depending on the situation. Twists are nice if the load is tall our you can't cinch them down tight without damaging cargo. Straight is nice when you can get them tight and you know if they loosen up.

I don't hear my straps "humming" going down the road. Maybe because my KENWORTH is just so quiet inside.:biggrin_25525:

That's because the interior is rattling apart to loudly to hear anything else! hahahaha couldn't let that one slide by!

I put a half twist if i pull a load of iso roof insulation (8' plus off the deck) on a 102" bc the insulation is only 96" and the material does crush even with corner protectors. I don't do it for the aforementioned noise, I do it so I can see if one strap starts to vibrate I'll know it's becoming loose.

Can't say as I do it on anything else tho.

Haha, yeah, a quiet KW. Maybe if it's broke down. My ears would ring for 2 hours after I got out of that T800.
