Well the Honda generator I priced was $2,100. The rooftop AC was another $950 and then you have the labor to install it which I was quoted at $1,200. Came out to about $5k.
Besides, I don't like the look of a rooftop on a flattop truck, and I'd spend the extra $$ for the ease and convince of just flipping a switch and having it work, instead of doing multiple things and having to keep adding gas to it..... I'm lazy lol

My other truck, which I no longer have, but was driving. I was looking through some of my older pictures and found this.
Sorry it was not recent. The Challenger and volvodriver01 Thank this. -
Well, got the SOB off today!!!!!!! Was a near all day affair, but worth it to see the back of that ugly POS IMHO.
All I could think of was fuel gelling on those guys, and even some of them said they were starting to gell up they thought.
It was -28, plus whatever the wind chill was, so possible I guess. My old gal never missed a beat, but I did throw some Howes in the tanks to ensure no problems. A bottle in each tank, and some in the filter. Dont know if it worked or not, but I never missed a beat and never had to use the 911 stuff, so your call I guess.
As far as the generators go, I have $1900 in the EU3000is, $750 in the Dometic Commercial rooftop AC, $30 in the heater, and maybe $250 in the steel for the slide out bracket, breaker inside, external wire, and so on. Installing a rooftop AC unit is just too easy to pay someone IMHO, and you can put the generator ###### near anywhere on a truck or trailer. It has more than paid for itself. Have @1500hrs on it, and some of that was when my AC compressor on the truck took a dump, so was driving in the middle of summer with a nice cool cab too!
Wouldn't give it up for anything myself.

Ah a good ole M920, slow as hell but will pull the world across the universe.

The got that bought that M920, bought it online auction and just for the special 5th wheel. It's 5th wheel takes a larger king pin and designed for like 200K. That's what he told me. You probably know more.
The Challenger Thanks this.
