The kenworth im in right now has an apu and its the best thing ever put on a truck!! i love being able to keep warm all night without idling when its -10 outside. the noise isnt that bad really you can barely hear it. anymore i would be hesitant to get in a truck that didnt have one

yeah its alot bigger of a king pin. They are about twice the diameter of a normal one but the rating i have no idea on. I know that we put a metric **** ton of stress on them with out any problem. Also the winch is a 60k winch so that is another good advantage to them. Now the bad is the transmission is an air-shift 16 speed with an air clutch and the jake is activated via a pedal so they are fun to drive in the best of situations. put them in a tight spot or traffic and you have to know what you are doing.

I picked up a used Thermoking TRIPAC APU used for 2,500$ with install from the company I'm leased to. All the internals are practically new. I don't like the look of rooftop A/Cs either, but 5k vs 10k for a Carrier APU.. I think id go with the 5k

My old $500 Briggs and Stratton Troybilt 6500/5000W had an engine failure after 4 years. Found a Craigslist guy selling Home Depot returns. Got a Generac 6500 brand new in the box, never had a drop of gas in the tank for $500. Much better quality than B&S. Still carrying 5 gallons of hi-test through the parking lot though..........

Where exactly did you say you lived? Because I can save you the hassle and steal it for you, for my truck of course.

Those ornan generators are the best. Quiet and run forever. Only thing that seems to ruin them is sitting, not getting used.

Oscar: Wideload lives in Southern Texas. It's not that big of area, you should be able to find it.
