I got offered a load of 60' going to Dubuque today for an awesome rate, but no levelers so I had to turn it down. Might just switch out this SD for my flat after all if this keeps up.

Ummmm, why not just buy some levelers? I mean, with all that gravy just lying around.

Seriously, I know you're renting the trailer, but it seems that maybe Landstar could also rent you the levelers, too. Why not suggest it to them? If not, maybe it'll be worth the investment for you to pick a pair up... maybe from some poor disillusioned former sd/flatbedder turned door slammer if he had a pair. I'm not mentioning any names now.

If I decide to keep the SD, I have no problem spending the $$ on a set and some boxes as well. Just not 100% sure this trailer is the best way to go right now. Still playing the field

Well then play it with the real equipment. :D Landstar might be the key for that...since it would make sense for their drivers to be able to handle the loads and make revenue thereby keeping the trailer instead of changing out because they're missing out on loads.

Nothing like not having a cup on when the ball comes in a little too hard and fast to move.
