It seems to be something I'd do as a joke, kinda like my 6" extension on the shifter in my Volvo

I know we had a few guys in Wa area for a couple of days a week or so ago. Does he remember the name of the guy etc?
One of our guys P'd me off today for sure.
I rarely run with the guy, and he certainly has some "special" behavior patterns and habbits, but it never bothered or affected me per say, so no biggie.
Well today, I get a load as I was first up. Load up the road in the AM going to Ga. Tarp job but the customer says they help with tarps and so on.
Few hours later, he gets an Army truck out of Vegas that loads Thursday, going to Ks. Now we are both in Irvine,Ca remember...
He says the Army truck pays average, but he cant load till Thursday and a 280mile bounce, whine whine whine.
I say I will swap loads, as Ks is close enough to the house for me to head home for a week or two. He says no, he has a girlfriend in Denver he will go and see (I doubt it myself). I leave it alone and get on with business. I get unloaded, and ask him to block traffic for me as I have to back in off a 5 lane road etc. He then pulls out, and disappears. So flipped off I get when I block 5 lanes to back into a driveway where I will be for the night. Prick.
This after using my VHF radios to get him backed into the pad off a main road, helping him close up his trailer, helping him on the loading end, and so on and so forth.
Thankfully he is a minority here, but it did tick me off....
    Rant over, sorry:biggrin_25510: .

The Aston was indeed beautiful though, brand spanking new too. Didn't want to ogle too much....some guy in a safety shirt, shaved head and tattoo's looking at an Aston Martin for too long may draw the unwanted kind of attention for the local cops!
Now the Range Rover was the same as one of mine, so that was humdrum in comparison....lol

Sorry to hear about the great fellow driver. I believe all compaines have them.
I was talking to one of my friends who is reloading an oil rig in Oh. not far from where we unlded at Sat..
I was told 5 of the so called rig chasers got all loud mouth and cussing on the ld. out channel and then got mad a bailed, because it was taking to long to ld..
I heard crap has hit the fan. Might have few openings here.. Not sure.

I bet the other guy just wants to go gamble at Vegas and then cry he has no money..

Not too sure what his deal is. May have a few "habits" he wants to keep quiet?
IE, I looked up fuel prices Friday while we in in UT.
Cheapest fuel by a nickel or more was at the J in Beaver Ut.
We both pull off, had @6hrs to get to Vegas (and through Az before Sunset Friday), so no time restraints at all as far as getting through the gorge Friday in daylight hours.
I say I need to park and print permits anyways after fuelling, so will get a quick 5 minute shower while I am parked. He says he is leaving and will buy fuel in Nv at Loves (6 cpg more IIRC) and get cash. I fuel, get shower, print permits, get into the Petro @2hrs before sunset.
After Loves, he heads to Whiskey Petes, for 3 nights!
Dont mind Primm, but WTH is there to do there? He had a slow leak on a trl tire, so could have got fixed at the Petro, where you can drop trailers, do laundry, and so on. Didn't make a lick of sense to me for a minute.
Maybe as you say, as he was pleading poverty and blaming slow freight, blah blah blah.....Hmmmm....
Hopefully the pricks do get fired there mate, they certainly deserve to, running their mouth on a site channel etc. Unreal. I hear drivers do it on the wind sites too, which makes the site reps soooooo happy!

    Why go to Whiskey Pete's?
That place has been going down hill in the last several years..
Like you said at least in Vegas, you are near things..

Yes I remember several times on wind sites guys were running their mouths. Site rep. would calmly say this is a bussiness channel, not the gossip channel.
Next time they were not so nice.. Kinda like the schnauble sluts trying to steer and set up on the bussiness channel. Real smart..

I really need to buy a VHF and a hand held.. Got a chance to get a mobile unit for 100. includes everything, off a friends pilot pickup. Her and her hubby are now retired from driving..

The 2 Kenwood hand helds I got are worth their weight in gold mate.
Me and Cody (my steer car) would both just turn the CB down and talk away in piece and quiet. Invaluable for steering, backing under a crane, etc etc etc.
I would recommend them to anyone, and they can go nearly 2 days without a charge to boot! Only bad thing is, the microphone/speaker is @$55 for one. I saw the Chinese ones, but went with Kenwood instead for the quality.
The Primm thing just totally baffled me too, not a clue on that one.
Wally World is @3 miles from the Petro on the back road, as well as everything else a guy could need.

I would rather stay in the big city. We play too much. Allways getting calls and emails about free rooms at Harrah's Rio etc.
Got an offer for 3 nights New Years eve. for free at Harrah's in Vegas.
Called them up and said sorry we will be home. Well we can try and get you a flight here if you wish. Told them where home was. Phone kinda went dead for a moment. Sorry can't do that. I said, kinda figured that and we both got a good laugh out of it..
