Picked it up in Tulsa, OK going to Savannah, GA. We usually try to leave with these on Monday or Tuesday so we don't get caught up in Tennessee's Sunday travel restriction adding an extra day to the trip. However this load was supposed to go on Tuesday but at the last minute Monday night the FAA decided to pull a stress test on the wing on the top. So here I am sitting on the side of the highway at the MO/OK state line till tomorrow morning. I'll pick up a pair of Missouri State Troopers to go along with my pilot cars and head for Tennessee. If all goes as planned I'll make the North 40 truckstop in Tennessee tomorrow night. Then Monday morning I'll head for the Georgia state line where I'll pick up a pair of Georgia State Troopers on Tuesday morning at 07:30 for the final ride to Savannah.

Its nothing much, I built this one to take on the truck with me. Normally I fly it with a GoPro Hero3 but I also have FPV capability (first person view) so I can sit in the truck and fly it from the TV. This one can carry up to a medium sized point and shoot digital camera. I have a DJI Flamewheel 800 that can carry a full size DSLR on it but its a real PITA to take on the truck.

Nothing crazy, just some lumber out of SD that I dropped in NE this morning. What a pain to secure and tarp LOL! It was like Tetris trying to figure out how to load it on the trailer since everything was different in size for the most part.

Cpape, I believe we when hauled 2 there was surcharge to my understanding.
I know I got extra money if a 2 stop deal. I got my mileage pay, plus stop off pay and extra unld. pay even though we did not do the unloading.

After doing the tarping and riding with it, I realized I still have my skill of tarping and the tarp not turning into a balloon!
If its nice out tomorrow, the truck is getting a good polishing and wax also! Who wants to guess the number of fellow drivers that make a comment or gesture towards me for doing that to a company ride?

Couple pics of wat ill be doing for the next while. Do about 4 loads a day of these peices of hydro towers. About 200 km total driving a day so it's pretty slack. Snowed about half a foot today so we were getting towed in and out of sites with a snow cat which was pretty fun. Poor trucks really dirty though after the mud a couple days ago. Slop was so deep I pretty much had no steering.

    The load:

Slide enough to nudge the headache rack so I used a chain and binder to winch it back.
