I haul that same kind of sheet steel all the time. I usually have them butt the back stack against the front one. Mine are also a little longer so I have to put chains across them. Where did you bring those to?

to Dragon, in Los Fresnos, TX. Dragon makes those frac trailers they look like a container with a single axle on the back, and no landing gear so it looks likes its dragging down the road, and they usually have a bright yellow staircase going up one end

me too.... usually 45,500-46,000# and I just put the front stack with the rearward part at the middle of the trailer and the rear stack butted up against it. My truck weighs 22,000# and i have yet to be overweight on the drives. And I always use chains as I have seen too many of these loads shifted and slid forward on other trucks.

SHC You pick it up in Portage at the same place that I do.

I use chains and straps but I ALWAYS have X chains on the front ALWAYS!!! I have seen so many trucks that pick up at the same place on 80/94 with the load slid to the front of there trailer.

Except the ones that have 80k+ on the deck........aren't the ones on the radio talking about it. However with the right ECM tunes we are the ones passing you....up hill......without our flashers.:biggrin_25525:

Hey Les, an ECM is the computer that controls the engine. Usually found on trucks built 30yrs after yours.:biggrin_2559:
