Yep, saw you backing into a spot. I am at the end of the row next to the tire trailer with the red Freightshaker and a 730 Cat truck on the RGN. :biggrin_25522:

I'm headed to IL, permits say I can't hit Kansas City, MO until 0900 and have to be through St Louis by 1530 or stuck until 1830 which will be past sunset and would keep me until 0900 Friday. lol. Just hope it's nice weather in the morning. Weather app says its supposed to be decent. Safe travels.

Gotta love those curfews...they are a real pain until there is enough daylight to get by after the curfew.

You just reminded me of a warehouse I used to work at right before I got into driving. We were on night shift and day shift was so stupid that they couldn't stack square boxes on pallets. Or they'd stack them 4 high knowing that the pallet wouldn't fit into a truck (too tall.) Then they'd try to blame everything on us and the office lady overlord manager loved them and hated us so she'd go along with it.

We ended up having to take pictures of messed up pallets sitting there when we came in every day. These guys were so stupid that the day shift manager backed a container into the dock with the yard dog to "keep his skills sharp" (he didn't have a cdl, never did), the doors swung back, he didn't notice, and backed it right through the dock door.

Then they had the guy from HQ (Wisconsin, land of cheeseheads) who said (to someone else) that I looked like a hooligan because I wore a baseball cap backwards. And he was serious.

He was also serious about this idea he got from Japan called "kaisen." That's where you, the employee, write up a suggestion, implement the entire suggestion no matter what it is and regardless of whether you have the authority to do it, write down how it did whatever it was supposed to do, and then dropped it in the suggestion box. There was also a quota of suggestions every employee had to make and it figured into your performance review, which really has no place in a warehouse, which directly affected how much money we made.

Now, not only is the word "kaisen" a nonexistent totally made up word that some jerkoff used to sell books to suckers (where the bosshole read it) but he didn't even add up how many suggestions would come in. I did. It totaled over 300 implemented changes to the company per year. By my calculations we would have suggested ourselves into another dimension by the end of the first year. So I suggested myself into a new occupation. :biggrin_2559:

Speaking of writing books...and this isn't even what I wanted to rant about.
