    Hey Fortycalglock.

    Noticed our trailers are similar. How often do you slide your rear axle? The knob to blow the suspension up and lock the rear axle on mine is so tight and such a PITA I almost never move mine and just leave them spread.
    Have you ever slid the axles with a load,.. or should I say a heavy load?

    My last trailer was a 53' flat. The rear axle slid, but it was no problem moving it with or with out a load as I didnt have to raise the suspension to clear the trailer bed like to do on this one.

    I usually keep it closed as I try not to haul heavy and usually run a lot of FL where spreads don't matter. I've been unsuccessful sliding it when really heavy.

    I don't want to burst your bubble or anything but that first picture. With the pipe and the coil. I'm sure you can't overhang a 53' if you didn't get caught you're lucky. Maybe next time you won't be
