You are mostly correct. Each state has different rules for "overall trailer length". You can overhang a 53' trailer in any state that has a max trailer length over 53'. AZ, NM, TX are some that allow a longer trailer.

Tower Hoist for a new power plant in Louisville. Easy load, just time consuming with all the dang straps!!

I'm usually doing under the speed limit,.. but there have been occasions in 65 mph zones where I pumped some extra speed to get up a hill and crested at 70 - 72 and there he was. Been lucky many many times. I havent had a ticket in 15 yrs. (Knock on wood, rub the Buddha belly and thank Karma every day)

I've done a couple of those. Have you done any of the rack systems for the warehouses? With multiple size racks, platforms and frames and then expect you to secure it after they spent an hour figure out how to get it all to fit on your trailer? I'll try to remember to take pics the next time I do one.
Here is a simple yet time consuming load of hey I did.
15.2 tall and 11.8 wide.
30' straps wouldnt reach the other side, so I had to use a combination of using 2 straps hooked to each other and using duck tape to hold them together as I pitched it over and then hooked to the ratchets on both sides of the trailer. I didnt have enough straps to do the whole load like that so I had to use 2 chains to latch a couple straps into and then ratchet them down.
If you look closely in this pic, you can see the chains on the 3rd to the front and the 2nd and 3rd from the rear. You can also see where the 2 straps meet on the front top. Changing lanes sucked because my mirrors were not wide enough to see what was coming up behind me, so I would kind of wiggle in my lane to get as much of a view back there as I could.

Yes, I've done a few warehouse pallet racking loads. I turn them down when offered them, too much of a PITA
First pic took them 6 hours to load me. Came out of a old Sysco warehouse.
The second pic only took 1 hour to load but moved around a lot. New racks to a Ford Assemby plant.

Laying out belly straps only to discover they want change what they were putting on the front or front top so now your using the smaller ratchets to secure the top because you cant redo your belly straps to get that one extra strap up front you needed.
First time I did one I was worried about my securement. Creaked a groaned the whole trip. But yeah man,.. thats it. You almost need an engineering degree to set up how you will strap it.
Yours dont look that tall either. I've had them double up those bottom racks on me and then put the tables and/or frames up top and in the back. They would have me right between 13.4 - 13.9.
