    Dont they need to be turned 90°, so that the wind resistance doesnt try to close them while driving and increase back pressure?

    I don't know how old SHC is, but the click-click of those caps at idle brings back memories of cabovers, Union76 stations, and mom and pop truck stops. I like them just for that.

    I drove 1 trk. that had a rain cap. Drove me nuts.. It came off one day backing into the tire shop. Believe it or not but when backing in the cap came up enough it caught the wood frame of the door and broke off. Stuck in the wood.
    My boss asked me what happened to the rain cap. Told him it was stuck in the wood at the tire shop in town..
    He's like huh?

    Nah, wind can't compare to the pressure coming out of those pipes and if you had them the other way, the wind would catch them and stand them straight up or snap them off.
