The first open trlr I ever pulled and the first over size load I ever hauled all in one. The year was 1975, the load was a modular bank building from Clearwater FL going to Wilkes Barre, PA. !4 ft. wide and loaded at 15' 3" high on a stretch step. No strobes just signs and flags and we ran with the 4-way flashers on. No escorts untill we got to Cincinnatti then we picked up a pole car. The old Pete (well it was a fairly new Pete back then) had a lil ol Clatterpillar and a 15 spd double over with deep reduction and 444 rears. I was a nervous wreck.![]()

Those cabovers, that oversize load, the guys sitting on the hill taking a break, and the dog running around. Very cool.

I remember playing in the rest areas while he was napping on the picnic tables. (No a/c in truck) Much cooler on the table under a shade tree. My how times have changed!!!!Seminole Wind and peterbilt_2005 Thank this. -
Load down to Kansas City. The tank it self is 14'6" wide 14' tall, 70' long and weighs in at a whopping 22,000 pounds.
