Really it wasnt bad. I was worried with that 5 feet back there before that rear axle but it really didnt flex much because that step sat about 10 inches lower then the dock so by the time it came down it was only I would say 2-3 feet behind.

Had one of your guys loading right next to me. Was driving a nice Mack flat top. Nice guy, helped me out with a few questions I had. I can say I am happy I am getting to haul some of this machinery stuff and get that much needed experience doing it.

He has been working for us about as long as I have been alive. He's a great guy, if you can keep up with him. 60 years old and he can secure and tarp a load in half the time of most young guts.

Yes, that is the oldest truck in our fleet. It is a 2001 with about 1.5 million miles.

We haven't seen the black Petes in DUB, DAV or WAT very often for the last couple years. Seems they were sticking to ANK & E MOL.

I guess I got that because I off loaded in waterloo, not to sure but like you said you dont see many of us up there, we usually stick to the Ag stuff not the construction machinery side.

Actually, it is an 850. They weigh between 40-48K without the blade and/or push beams.

They told me 45 in all. The BOL said only 36 for the dozer which I thought it was more then that and it felt like it was more.

Got to the port today and needless to say it was a cluster ###### with them being closed yesterday. I got in and immediately got pulled out of line for an inspection. Took about 5 minutes and got into the delivery warehouse where I was #11 in line to unload.......then about 15 min later I had a good 35 trucks behind me. I sure am glad I got up early and got in right at 8am.

Jaxport can be a nightmare during a large move. It's twice as bad when your loading out of there in a large move though. Not to mention the rate coming out of there on big military moves is peanuts usually as well. I think the last one I saw was a 1.40 gross for 3 humvees. No thanks.
