They are easy. The ones from Laredo get chains, which I prefer. Ones in the pic are out of Tyler Tx. No chains allowed, only straps. Nice light load around 5000 pounds lol

Ever notice that all the 5,000-10,000# loads come up all winter long, but in the summer time everything is 45,000# +++

At least you stayed in the south with that one.

Ya lol The AC units stayed south... The pipe come up to Farson Wyoming to a jobsite... Now Im stuck in Rawlins waiting out this storm. Im empty and cant leave til the light trailer ban is lifted. I dropped the pipe thankfully before this hit. Winds of over 75mph right now. Pipe load only weighed 4828 pounds.

I always viewed it as "if I was close enough for some something to rub and cut my straps, I've got more problems than the straps being cut".

Think about it, if your into something scraping your rub rail, you've already gotten into it even worse with the tractor most likely.

That said, when I can I run them inside the rub rail, but if it's wide, it ain't gonna happen.

    Hmmm well duh:yes2557:
Hauling mostly OD myself, I know all too well that steps need to be taken in that case. But I would guess that 99% of flat/step loads are legal, thus my question of downfalls to run securement inside the rub rail.
Now if the load is beyond the trailer, then the rub rail is obviously not going to be the first thing hit is it?:biggrin_25522:
And like I said before, it may well not be the drivers fault should the local freight hauler decide to rub up against his trailer when parking etc. I know my RGN has seen more than one ####### on it's sides in the truckstops....
    Oh well...

Pipe was paying $2.84 up to the Alexander area. With as many trucks were swarming the last time I was down there I figured some idiot would cut the bottom out. Hope the tards enjoy going broke.
