To many drivers in certain areas of this country that cut throat the rate! Not sure how they pay for food at the rates some of these guys pull for. My buddy at the Cummins dealer in the Chicagoland area deals with them all the time. The have the pre EGR ISX and the N-14 in there trucks, they come in complaining about there not being any power, the truck is running on 4 cylinders and they try to haggle on the price of the repair. Why because they haul that cheap freight from everywhere to everywhere. Wont say who it is but they are everywhere in Chicago. It sucks for those of us who want to become O/Os and those trying to make it as an O/O in that part of the country.

 

We use screw anchors on pipeline projects.

 

I like haulign equipment that I can drive on and off or have a sideboom tractor load and unload.

In my own defense, I was trying my best at an eastern European accent.

 

Nail on the head...... If you have ever ran up or down 294 and had to pass a volvo in that 3rd left lane(Illegal yet troopers dont care in most cases) you have seen them with there flags and tassles.

 

i know i was kidding your right, its Akmed, Juan, Lee, Jamal, Denzel, etc out there cuting rates. You wont see John, bill, Jack etc cutting rates....or driveing a POS

LOL O yeah. They try to haggle and he says if you dont like my price leave! There is no haggling or deals it is parts plus book time. Done and Done. He is the only reason I may end up getting a Cummins in a truck when I decide to make that jump.

 

Sometimes you do, busted up FLD from 95 with duct tape holding the fairings on. Or the old Volvos with the same.
