In that part of the country, they call them "boomers", if u had said that to them, they would have known exactly what u needed.

 

Well that would make sense as to why they looked at me like I was Forrest Gump I already know "I'm special" that way but I felt dumber than normal.

 

Never heard of them being called "boomers"..? Must be an east PA thing?

 

They call them "boomers" down south and out west also.

 

My grandfather was from Arkansas/Phoenix and he always called them boomers, that's where I picked it up.

 

Lowes has them for $20. Now I can't remember if there are any Lowes out there.

 

Well those 20.00 binders, what kinda of working load limit do they have?
Sometimes cheaper is not for the better.

 

5400lbs. You can't find that out until you have them and read the tag, so I went to find out. They're made in china but I got a couple a while back and haven't found any obvious flaws. Good if you need to pick up a couple extras quick.

MMM, I've always called them Binders, some guys call them tighteners...never heard of them called Boomers.

If your in PA and look on your phone for a "Tractor supply" they carry chain and binders, may not be the best, but they will get you out of a jam for sure.

Where in PA were ya at?
