If cutting the middle man out makes more money then explain how spot freight is averaging better than contract freight right now? You'll make more money when the market supports it. The middle man doesn't have anything to do with that. If DAT shows a lane is paying $2.56 a mile that doesn't mean the lane is paying $2.56 a mile. It means on average that lane is paying $2.56 a mile. That means somebody might be booking it for $2.00 a mile and someone else might be booking it for $3 a mile.
Do you know how DAT comes up with this number? You think DAT sets the rates? You're putting way too much faith into another entity looking to profit off our investments. The funniest thing here is DAT uses rates from factoring companies to determine this "average" number. As mentioned above, it's an average number. It's also a number I have zero faith in. Only a fool would trust it. If you want to pull for that average rate more power to you but don't expect others to accept a mediocre rate. Bid as high as you can and if you don't get your predetermined rate than pass. You seriously trust them more than a broker? It's a free market full of choices and options. I like that much better than someone else dictating what a rate for a particular lane should or shouldn't be. What works for you most likely won't work for me.
I don't trust the brokers or DAT. But most of them are running off the same system almost all Brokers work off of DAT. The broker negotiates the freght lane price to the shipper That is the problem. I highly doubt they're booking a lane for $3 then booking one for $2 I still like what Proloader is saying way better than Uber. It makes more sense
Again. You're missing the point. The problem isn't the broker. It's the people willing to haul for less than they're happy with. As long as I get the rate I'm looking for I could care less what anyone else is making off it. You're still on here crying about mileage rates. Get with the program. Think day rates and expenses. I'm starting to think you're just a shill account for this progoader site you keep bringing up. All you do is post about them.
You see the name at the top Hustler logistics I own the company that's a Trucking company. Do you own a company or are you a driver. The only thing I said was they make sense I'm not here to post for nobody or to listen to smart ##### like yourself. I know this is the Direction freight brokering is going. Now I may not be as smart as you but I have looked into alot like convoy and transfix, doft, Uber etc. Iām always looking into new approaches since we have so much downtime now.
This discussion has happened many times. If Proloader is going to be the next best middleman in the freight business I guess we'll just have to watch it play out. It hasn't turned out so well for Uber they're losing tens of millions.
As long as I get the rate I'm looking for I could care less what anyone else is making off it.......... If you owned a company like I do You would be thinking about more than just yourself
