I'm considering The Freight Rate Co and I understand they're a third party logistics company...so they're subbing the work out to you drivers - eh? anyway, are they reliable? how does insurance work? their rate seems so low (about one-third) compared to quotes I've gotten from more popular carriers (I don't have accounts with any). Hopefully these bad brokers will burn enough of the cheap freight haulers out here and it'll be back to business as usual for the rest of us.

its a supply and demand situation...more trucks than loads its a brokers advantage..have to haul some cheap ones to find a good one...

bond is 75k now....some of the diamond brokers on truckstop have 250 k bonds

Sounds like they are just being a PITA about check calls . . . the driver or company makes the check calls, not the darn broker calling the driver.

Landstar seems like a good choice but i don't know if i could get on with them as a bco but i am wondering about thier brokerage service along with alan lund or tql

Just curious. Did you go through a factoring company like apex or another that would go after them for payment? or trust them to keep their word and pay on time ?
Maybe there should be an "open season" on bad brokers and issue tags like they do for nuisance gators etc...
