Dang, I had no clue about this. I'm hanging up my spurs as a broker and getting into my true passion, singing in a barbershop quartet. Wish me luck!

HD Shipping Solutions - Reno Nv - Terrible

Set us up with a drop trailer on a Thursday night, to be picked Friday AM and delivered straight thru to Memphis. Spoke with the rep to confirm they were good on times, as we had a loadout needing returned on Monday and already had a return trip available on Sunday if they were able to have us empty. Assured repeatedly that they would be done 1000-1200 and unloaded that night.

After no call and repeated attempts to reach the shipper, driver had to go over to find out what was happening. They told him he would be loaded around 2100 that night. Spoke with broker and he said in this case, they would unload on Monday. As previously stated, the trailer was due back in NC by 1700 on Monday, no possible way to make that happen. Broker told me hold on, I'll see what I can do.

A couple minutes later, we get an email saying we were removed and no layover or detention would be paid as the load wasn't cancelled, only delayed. If it had not been relayed repeatedly about the need to be back, and repeatedly assured that this was a reliable shipper, it might be different, but he boldfaced lied about the situation and when it went belly up, oh well, sorry you wasted your time. Not one to work with EVER.

I booked a load from Houston, TX to Alto, MI early on July 3rd (Thursday) for a late morning pick up and delivery on Friday.
I signed the rate con and dispatched my driver. When the driver arrived, he called the broker for pick up numbers (per instructions on the rate con) and was told he would get a call right back, they were getting the numbers "right now." The driver is no dummy--he called and let me know that this was a common broker scam (they send in a bunch of trucks for loads they do not have and can't move). Sure enough, I get a broker call that the load is cancelled. When I asked for a TONU, he denied it. Then he hung up on me. And has since ghosted my emails like a 14 year-old spiteful, pimply boyfriend who can't man up to what he's done.
Meanwhile, my driver sat in 100+ degree heat while I frantically tried to re-book something decent before a 4 day weekend with no success. He is dead-heading 400 miles home. I went back and checked their ratings on DAT: they have 1.5 stars.
