Hmm, would you ask that guy to reveal those brokers for us? The majority I work with, have a problem paying above than what's enough just for bare breaking even.

Sorry, I would disagree Big Bad... I made the same mistake...was pulling cheap in the beginning to show i would be worth paying more in the future...
Doesn't work...they just see you as a stupid and if you ask for more they say you're crazy, ridiculous and expencive...and I was just asking 40-50 c/m above the expences.
If you refuse to continue pulling for cheap they will just turn to look for another rookie idiot. You might find one in a hundred that will have appreciation for what you do and be willing to decently compensate you.
    Just my experience...

Maybe I am a little slow today but not sure I understand you question.

The guy brokers a tone of loads ever week. He may not make more per load brokering but when you look at the return on equity he is much farther ahead than trucking with much less hassel.

Is that the corp location or the agents location. I have talked to one based in SC and one in MD. Different companies. One is expiditer and the other is one of those trying to do it all but started mainly in reffer stuff. Talked to a nice lady, Margie, at the hotshot but I wasn't going to have the hours. They seemed nice. The other I talked to a couple of times and I have them listed in my book at low rates.

This is an actual business listing. I was trying to look them up online, but no website, nothing but a yellowpages.com listing.

The gal that use to dispatch at the company my hubby drives for is supposedly brokering for them. It's reefer trailer load, because she was talking about produce loads out of FL to the owner of another company that we know.

If you haven't found them yet, they're on FMCSA as "SERVICE TRANS INC" with a PO Box address in that city and a phone number, active MC number etc are all there.

    Lilbit Thanks this.
