    Thank you.

I use multiple brokers as well. You don't have to be on a LS load to get the fuel rate. You just have to haul a load to get it funded. At one point I had about $8k on my LS fuel card. I could have gone over a month and used that before ever having to run another LS load.

I do not believe Plum is leased to LS. I think he is Independent.

BTW, the good discounts are via TA/Petro. I think it is just cash price at others.

I am averaging $.22/gal savings over cash price since I figured the program out.

Ahhhh......I think I understand now. Please correct me if I am wrong.

All I have to do is pull ONE LS load, and that will qualify me to get one of their fuel cards that I can then load and use when I wish.

The trick, from the looks of it, is to have them put the entire load on the card, paying for your fuel for some period of time. Pull a couple of their loads every month, and you will have enough on the card to likely cover fuel for the month....maybe more with a little luck.

So you give up 1.5% of the LS loads to get outstanding fuel prices......sounds like a no-brainer to me!

How do you get the emails listing loads in your area? Is that from putting your truck on their board?

Thanks again for the great info!

Where the hell did you get $4.25! Haha

Anyway I still use TQL, You get those good and bad dispatchers. They pay on time, fast, and most of the time fairly (not right now). I only do reefers with them and will be doing flatbed and van with them as soon as find some more drivers. TQL is a semi good broker in my opinion. I just hate these fluctuating rates.

Are these rates what you get paid or does the broker take a percentage of the rates you have posted here?

I used to be a broker for Czechmate logistics out of Tampa,FL... i had to resign cause of the way I was force to treat driver and customers... word to the wise stay clear of any loads posted on any load board by Czechmate logistics, alittle insider tip. On a better note I will be making the move to Driver at the end of this month

I have 25 brokers in my contact list that I deal with for freight. I can tell you that the worse broker I have ever delt with is TQL. Call them up ask them about freight in Richmond, VA. wait and get the confirmation only to find out no address on the paper, call them back to find out the shippment is maybe 50 miles away give or take a few.
And there is no quick pay, its more like paid in 3-4 days. Sometimes they won't even return your phone call if you call about a load.

Oh I forgot to share with everyone that one of TQL brokers said to me one day "this shiiitt isn't right, what god #### reason are you running late?"

Pick up was 11 a.m. I got there at 12:30. Receiver said that afternoon they didn't even need the shippment because that part of the department didn't work on Wednesdays.

I've had so many run-ins with TQL it's not funny. Agree on the load, sign the rate conformation then find out the load picks up or drops off in a totally different town! They call you non stop telling you that you MUST deliver on this day. I always tell them I already called the customer and they could care less when it arrives. Then they get pissed. They try to make me run illegal. I sort of like it now battling with them on the phone. They tell me what must be done and I keep telling them calmly what will be done.

Had one load that delivered up in Washington State. Got the rate conformation in the morning and noticed the delivery was in Canada and not Washington State. This load had 7 trucks total and all had to be there at the same time. I saw Canada and booked another load with another broker. They called around 10am asking if I was loaded yet. I said yes, but with a different load and broker. They were like, WHAT THE F***. The guy was absolutely flipping out on me chucking a complete nutty.

Told him the rate conformation said Canada and I'm not going in there. He said NO, you just bring the load to Washington and Canadian carriers will be waiting and pull your trailer across the border and bring it back the next day. I was like, NO ##### way would I have allowed that. They told me I would never haul for them again.

    Well, I still do.

Bill is right I just pull a load for them ever once in a while to load my fuel card. And TA/Petro is where the best discounts are as much as .40 below pump price. I have since got a comdata card through England Logistic and you can load it from you bank account as well as loads you pull for them but the fuel discounts are not that great but you can get fuel at their terminals for cost and use their tire discount and those are great havent used it yet but did get a tire price on tires Michelin around $326
    Load going to Jessup MD
