Funny you posted that PC. I had a run of stuff that would take too long to type out. Thursday morning I had gotten screwed on a pallet charge by them, followed by a fake listing like you described.
After cussing them a couple hours, and filling out a bait & switch complaint form on ITS, I got it out of my system. Of course I then called on a different TQL listing and got a good agent on the phone, and scored a nice rate on a different fake load - one that I would have seen anyway if he'd have listed the actual location.
Then yesterday, I did what I figured would be a futile search and called on the one single load listed. TQL of course. Got another good agent on the phone and locked in a nice rate with the actual broker a little bit later.
Had me second-guessing myself a little on the ITS complaint. Maybe I shot myself in the foot? Oh well, it's not like I haven't been at the same point several times, and this time I actually did the complaint.
I've finally concluded it's a straight money game with TQL management. If you happen to come across an agent or broker with any integrity, it's a stroke of luck and you should enjoy it while it lasts. And take the bad with the good, as a cost of doing business with TQL. They obviously condone the bait & switch listings as they've been doing it non-stop for a long time.
I doubt there will be any follow up to my complaint, but it was satisfying for a minute LOL.

Allen Lund is the one of the brokers you should stay way from. They advertise it like they are the best but when you deal with them it appears that they are the lowest. We have done about 3 loads so far with them never paid in 14 days (false advertisement). Did not honor the Fuel Advance agreement in reasonable time till we gave up on it ( Breach of contract ). The last load we did for them from Tucker GA to Westfield MA (cheap for $2150 ) they are trying to beat us out of detention and holding our funds unlawfully, for no reasonable cause. We are consulting with a lawyer and he thinks we should sue them for breach of contract, false advertisement and fraudulently holding our funds. He also suggested that since their rating shows that they almost never paid in 14 days, there should be a class act against them??? We have another meating with him this Friday will keep you posted

TALKING TO LAWYER about slow pay?!? You're kidding, right?
I know I shouldn't do it but I got to ask. What is the un-reasonale cause they are giving for holding payment?
But do love your one post about being descriminated against because broker said they want 2-years in business. Got a good laugh at that one. -
I've called Lund on a few loads and never took one from them. When they consistently offer $1.40/mi for reefer loads into FL, I got a clue and quit calling them.

The short answer is to become a member of ooida or some type of load board outfit they have a boat load of shady brokers.
When you want to check out a broker for one load or several loads do the same thing they do when you call them for a load Ask them and say
What's Your MC Number? Or Whats yur Phone Number?
Ya know why they ask that Question? .....Good
Then take their MC number and give it to ooida or any credit check outfit and they will tell you if they are good Bad Or Ugly
OOIDA membership is only $45/Year
Good Luck
PS: If You You Ever Get Stuck With A load That Needs Detention time you better get your detention confirmed by a new confirmation or a comcheck
The promise or we pay detention story is not good enough You Digg? "If It is not on paper it is gone"
