Hi five on this comment Rollin Coal! Ain't that the truth!!! I cannot stand it when they tell me no touch to the driver 15 times in 30 seconds or it's only 16,000 lbs. I just sit there saying to myself "oh you are calling the wrong gal today buddy." I hate to admit it but I have started my own tactics as well after years of abuse from rude jerk brokers. I figured this is better than screwing my drivers or making them sit all the time. So I am evolving in the least evil way I know how. I learned with this company that there are two ways to be very successful during our current times: come up with a great invention or screw somebody over while working your way to the top. I think any business owner would probably agree at least somewhat. Well I am only a lil successful as in I pay my bills on time and to accomplish that and keep all of my ungrateful workers in jobs I have to work 80 plus hours per week while they all pull a measly 40 to 70, and I do it all with a smile on my face.

I am going to go wayward here and I strongly feel that truckers in my opinion or we all get into transport for wrong reasons. I have been burnt $50 000 from corrupt brokers and trucker whom I thought were reputable, I also made that mistake. So I ask myself what is making truckers not approach customer direct? What is making trucker not do more direct loads? I mean if truckers deal more direct with customers that would prohibit anyone from being ripped off and burnt.
With That said here are tips I use to check up on someone before I do business with them:
1. Check Their company registration
2. Let them complete an credit application
3. Sometims I would check if thety are registered with revenue services and whether they pay taxes
4. Perform credit checks on them using dun and brad street
If they pass the above and information stated in the credit and are clear do one load for them and check payment.
Hope the above has been helpful.bamboo Thanks this. -
Just booked a load with broker called Kam Way Transportation , one of the worst brokers to deal with. I hate when they lie. Booked a load this morning and confirmed the appointment was at 12:30; driver showed up at 12:00 and shipper telling us appointment is not unitl 7pm and called broker and don't want to pay no layover and making all kind of BS. I had other choices when i was booking what a terrible mistake to book load with these crooks, i hate when they dont' have any courtesy to be honest.

hey guys,
My name is Isaac and I recently have been giving the opportunity to work as a broker from TQL. To be honest before i decided to take the job, I wanted to to look for more info on the company and what does the job require. Im getting a little insight on what to look for in this forum, so i though i would get you guys perspective when it comes to dealing with brokers. Of Course Everyone is in the business to profit, but i dont want to come into the company blindly and see it only from the companies point of view. I wanted to understand from the Truckers as well.
So please info advice or info would be really appreciated.

You'll get beat up by the drivers here. Not a lot of love for TQL. Take it with a grain of salt. It's from the outside looking in so to speak. Learn everything you can and give it your best.
