You want a set rate per mile work for a company!! You want to be a business owner (not a driver) learn how to negotiate and learn how markets work

Not to be an ###, but I see a few problems here.. I've never dealt with scotlyn other then picking up empty bins along time ago as a company driver.
Your strike one: load cancels.. Happens both ways. Sounds like they at least tried to find something else for you but you found another load.
Your strike two: You can send emails with a conformation of receipt that will notify you the your email was opened. If you don't receive the conformation in a time you consider reasonable, call them, practicing this with all your business emails could save a few headaches and misunderstandings. Perhaps the person looking after this had to be away for a couple of day and was back logged, or maybe your email was filtered into a spam folder.
Your strike three: This one I found interesting. Seems that there is something missing here, why can't you prove your not gulty? Obviously someone called them and told them this, I doubt they just randomly accuse drivers of being late. But my own opinion if I am supposed to be somewhere at a certain time with equipment in a certain configuration and I get there 5 minutes before my appointment and it takes me 15 minutes to achieve the proper configuration I'm 10 minutes late.

Yeah that sounds like par for the course for scotlynn. Email in to designated email like I have before and this time it's "we never received it". For me to prove I'm innocent I would have to get the shipper to dig up the check in log and send it to me to present it to them. I was pre cooled and like an hour early. Worth it to try and chase down the $200 they owe to me? Not to me. I'd rather not do business with them anymore. And it is working out great.

Posted a 23000 pound plus forklift as an 8000 load. I could not haul it as I am a hotshot refused to pay a TONU. Another trucker tried to load it and bent his trailer, per the auction personnel.

Im glad i put my truck on with a shipper. Dbl my income home everynight weekends off. Driving 175mi for 600. is so much better . These brokers only wanna pay you 250 maybe 300 on a good day for same load. Find a shipper if you can. Worked out for me. Something to think about.
