Look at their detention times and there lay over pay these are not joke of numbers they're serious. And really it's the kind of pressure that needs to be put on shippers to get them to do the right thing anyway

The inevitability is the downfall of the excess of brokers making money and not having to spend a dime to make that money other than direct expenses. That's bad business that just have their hand out making money on the backs of others who are actually making the "money"

I couldn't agree more and I mean to be honest really brokers are pain i* t** ##* I've got 4 trucks I live in Chicago so I know what you mean. I keep reading about this Internet freight market and it's becoming more and more I know it's not full swing in there yet but it just looks way easier 5% to the truck driver and 5% the company is what they charge h*** it's a no brainer I just gotta find out how it works and what there rates are. Anytime I don't have to talk to a broker on the phone is a good day for me hahahaaha

Brokers are used as a layer of extra insurance most shippers are not willing to deal with unless they can trust a direct carrier. Also a lot of these brokers I am sure block the shady carriers that rebook the load or are unsafe. Thats the other side of the story.

I highly doubt any broker is worried about uber and other similar things. I have yet to even hear Abbott a load on uber being worth pulling.

I would call that a trucker that has no idea what he is doing. He chose to pull a load for under market value, no one forced him to. There will always be cheap shippers paying under market value, and unfortunately there will always be truck owners willing to run it.

What we were talking about was somebody saying that brokers don't make 20%30% 40%. I called them out on it and said that's ######## because they do. That's how they make their money. I'm all about Technology helping us in this game. I did download the Uber freight app they do have some pretty good freight. It's mostly Van freight and some of it is cheap. And they are also offering more than your regular broker offers for layovers or detention times. I guess I can say it's better than what some of these brokers do. That company Proloader their server is down I really like what they are doing unlike Uber I think they're looking out for the best interests for the shipper and the truck driver. It makes total sense to cut the broker out. And yes you may not have heard about any of this but it's very new and like I said it is the way the market's going to go technology will take over the brokerage business.

The only way a broker can make 20 to 40% regularly is if he regularly gets the same suckers.

I get a giggle out of drivers claiming brokers make so much on every load. Its obvious they have no clue about the brokerage segment of the industry.

They do there buddy DAT Does not lie. I just told you They have the same lanes same freight if they're paying $2 for that load and it is actually paying $2.64 What would you call that. And why are you calling people suckers you never hauld a bad load you must be perfect as matter of fact lets call you perfect spyder. Do you really think that brokers are sitting on their ##### everyday at their house to make $10 on a load come on man get real they're doing it for hundreds of dollars a load. And since you are so smart if you look up in glass door how much freight brokers make it goes from anywhere for $50000 up to $300000 They're not making that kind of money on $10 load
