I saw that Colorado passed minimum intoxication for drivers under influence of mj. Sorry, I don't have a link or how they will enforce it.

So, a few thoughts. In the first 10 days of legalized marijuana in Colorado, at least a dozen CDL holders have lost their jobs, I know of two who were fired on the 2nd, because they accidently got their mugs on the tv camera's on the 1st, their employers saw them, told them to take a UA, they refused were shown the door. This should make the industry amusing. Wyoming, Nebraska and Kansas are all watching very closely ALL vehicles coming into their state from Colorado, go ahead, give them an excuse to stop you. Friends brother was nailed by NSP on the 4th with 3 oz of pot in his car. He's 24, lives in Iowa, had been here for the holidays and was heading home with his fresh purchase, his car was confiscated, and he's possibly facing felony charges.

As for alcohol, my companies policy is 10 hrs minimum from last drink till the key is in the door lock. Friends wife runs HR for another trucking company locally, they fired a guy the Thursday after Thanksgiving, seems he spent the 4 day weekend partying, drinking and having fun. He passed from booze about 7 pm on Sunday, when he walked in the door at 10 am on Monday to head out for a 3 day run, they asked him to take a UA. The literal amount in his pee was the equivalency of 7 drops of alcohol, when he got back in on Thursday morning, he was fired.

Simple answer, don't do it, and don't worry about it.

As for the medical benefits, this too can be debated. I know people who claim that marijuana gives them relief from various ailments, yet, so too would stopping some of the causes. I have a neighbor who smokes MMJ for chronic low back pain that is not 100% solved by a chiropractor. For 10 yrs his chiropractor has told him to get away from his job carrying and installing garage doors, it will take the stress and pressure off his low back. Nope, he'd rather whine about the pain and smoke his daily joint.

Just a slightly off topic question.
With the legalization and casual sale in Colorado, how does the price paid in a legal storefront compare with street corner illegal sale price??
Never was able to find what was being charged, just wondering?

It's expensive. They are charging twice what the street price is.

I figured as much but, many will pay these prices because it is just easier for most.

Wonder if they will be looking at the products that people have looking for stamps like they did in prohibition and cigarette bootlegging.
