Geez, I typed out a novel and lost it because of an unplugged ethernet cable. So here goes the condensed version.

Sounds like you may want to stay local anyway. I believe Florida will only require you to take a written test to add a passenger endorsement on your license--then you can drive a bus. Alternatively, companies that most likely won't check your DAC:

Log truck, chip truck, mixer, beer truck, rental equipment delivery, lumber yard delivery or anything with wheels. Give 'em all a try.

I'm afraid you got me on that one.

Now I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd say English, might not be the only language you speak... nor is it your first language--am I correct?

I would say swallow your pride and try to make things right with Trans Am--maybe its not too late to fix it. Just leaving a truck somewhere is the absolute worse thing you can do. Trans am is not a bad company--had a good friend that worked there--of coure he forgot how to shift gears but he made good money. Evidently, you were doin something to sit and wait 4 days for loads--but thats my thoughts on it. Possibly, if you call some higher ups maybe they will let you "beg" your way back. Its worth a shot to do it. Be hard for you to get a job with 6 mths exp with an abandonment on your DAC.

NEVER NEVER NEVER BEG. You might as well buy a blonde wig and start working as a lot lizard as beg.

No man can live on his knees asking "mother may I?" and "pretty please". As soon as you start begging they have a noose around your manhood. You would be better off with a noose around your neck than a noose around your manhood.

Personally I was very lucky that I had some old guys around when I was growing up who let me know how things really work. They taught me what BS smelled like so I never got involved with a slimeball outfit like Trans-Am. Because believe me, Trans-Am stinks to high heaven like BS.

Truck driving school may have taught you to drive and a few things about rules and regulations, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE THEY TOLD YOU THERE WAS BULL S***. It's all propaganda to get you to slave for one of the carriers that they are in bed with,

Tell yourself that "I would rather eat out of a dumpster than drive a truck for Trans Am" Then move on. Get a job driving a dump or a concrete mixer. Even a garbage truck.

The easiest way to keep from being in a situation where you abandon a truck, is to avoid scumbag megacarriers that train.

    Just stop abandoning trucks wouldya

i don't agree with the above post!! no don't beg. but i would plead. your DAC is your lifeblood in this biz. maybe joe doesn't need to use a DAC but you do. just call that big boss guy and plead your case. remember that your saving your DAC and that is your future!!

I wonder what's on this guy's DAC LMAO.

Scrw TransAm. Get a copy of your DAC and if the equipment abandonment is on there, Have a Lawyer send them a threating letter about how you are going to sue them for violating the "fair credit reporting act" or some such BS unless they remove it. They will probably fold rather than pursue it.

Just the possibility that you may have a case, even if it is weak, will probably make them drop it. You just have to make messing with your dac cost them some money.

Ooo... sooooo close! See the tire tracks where they just go over the edge of that concrete catch basin. That one could have been a lot worse than just laying it over.

As for DAC reports, I give those about as much importance as I do my credit report. There are a few phone companies on mine who will NEVER see a dime from me. I refuse to pay crooks and I really couldn't give a flying pile of fecal matter whether they put something on my report. The way I see it, if I don't have the money, I don't need it.

USIS seems to be nothing more than a tool for sleazy companies to blackball a driver. Therefore, if a company is going to check my DAC, I don't need to drive for them.
