That must have been one hell of a pothole.

I-70 i belive that. That road breaks trucks. Literally. That road is so bad its a joke. I personally have broken rims and leaf hangers on the potholes in it. And its only getting worse and worse.
broke down plumber, Sons Hero, mjd4277 and 4 others Thank this. -
WOW....when I read the subject of this thread, that area on I-70 in Indiana is what popped in my head!!!!
-
Yup. I70 west from the Ohio line to Greenfield Indiana has gotta be one of the worst interstates in the country currently.
Sons Hero, mjd4277, Arctic_fox and 4 others Thank this. -
Horrible title and article. That was a piggyback operation. It’s easy to see losing control of one of those setups, on the crappiest road in the country. Every aspect of Indiana roadways and law enforcement sucks!
Sons Hero, mjd4277, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 2 others Thank this. -
Wow.
Somebody is going to rip INDOT over this one for dragging their feet on repaving/repairing that highway!hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
They just tore down the perfectly serviceable, westbound welcome center, instead of fixing I-70. Right now, they have the I-70 welcome centers closed and torn down at both ends of the state and eastbound I-64, coming in from Illinois. That’s several hundred parking spaces gone, for the next however many years, as Indiana does nothing very quickly. The westbound I-70 welcome center is going on 2yrs and nowhere close to being done. I just started running I-64, so not sure how long that project has been going on, but, it’s nowhere close, either. I-70, through Terre Haute, has been a continuous construction project, at least 20yrs.hope not dumb twucker and mjd4277 Thank this. -
Seems like every time I run 70 between Indy and the Ohio state line trucks are lined up on the shoulder on the on/off ramps to the point where they’re parking on the shoulder of the interstate itself.
Both issues the State of Indiana has been dragging its feet on.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Part of that parking problem can be blamed on Ohio. They tore out the westbound rest area, which was straight across from their welcome center. That should’ve been expanded and a new facility built. That was a beautiful rest area, back in the 90’s.hope not dumb twucker and mjd4277 Thank this. -
mjd4277, hope not dumb twucker, nikmirbre and 1 other person Thank this.
