I think its time we have a discussion about load shifts. What would cause it to shift more? Locking it down or nailing a pothole in the middle of a turn at a Pilot?

Depends on the load and how it's secured. But most likely slamming on the brakes will do more harm that hitting a pot-hole....depending on how big that pothole is
-
Hit a deep one at a Pilot this morning, "Holy ####, think I lost a drive." Knocked my TV off the shelf, AGAIN.
I agree, but the potholes in AL will knock the Depends off an elderly lady. -
We don't call them potholes, we call them Carolina Speedbumps.
-
Got to love the truckstops with the holes they forgot to put a house over....

yeah man,you dont to get hit in the head with a flying t.v.that would totally ruin you day.
as for load shifts,if its secured right you shouldnt have to worry bout it.dont be drivin like the dukes of hazard and sh/t.

The flying joke near laredo gots some nasty potholes. My first time there was bobtail with my co-driver sleeping in the bunk. Didn't see the hole and got it at a good speed. He got full air off the bunk.

Agreed with the TV, I need to get that cargo strap fixed. If it does break, I can get the same make and model for 50-40 bucks.
But, dang, co-driver got full air? I'll stay out of there.... -
yeah it's bad because it's right at a seam in the intersection and you can't see it till you're on it so you rip through the intersection to beat the light and WHAMMO big effin hole.
