Bought a Reitnouer with lift axle and need to install an auxillary power line for the lift axle. I do have unused swithes on dash. 2001 W900L. Any advice on how to connect. These lines have been relocated to the front of trailer, this pic is before they were relocated.

Put an auxiliary plug on the back of the cab and front of the trailer. Run your signal from the switch to that auxiliary plug.

On our log trailers we take out either the black or brown wire for park and running lights and put both together on the trailer . That way one is free for a switch , brown or black whichever you decide . The blue wire in the center of the cord is usually wired for air lifts here in Cannuck . You will find the wires on the firewall . Or just inside the drivers side kick panel usually . You can cut them and insert a switch in the line or depending on brand of truck they are usually pre wired to add switch in the harness . Black or brown marker lights for trailer commonly have a courtesy flash switch on one or the other wire . You could switch this one out for on/off switch then your all done . Switched wire to trailer

    Bridgestreetblues Thanks this.

Most likely use blue wire on the trailer for lift axel . Most likely a plug inside your dash where switches are and probably has air lift written on it . Already in the harness . Might need to add a fuse in fuse block for it , should be marked on fuse block diagram

Wiring on trailer plug is as follows , black - park , brown - park , red -brake , blue-auxillary switch , yellow-left signal , green - right signal , white-ground , Off the top of my head .

You could air up trailer with truck . Plug cord into it . Unplug from truck side and hook battery to cable . White ground and center blue power . If axel goes up . BINGO

No I don't think so this 4 pin on the trailer does the lift axle and a rear dump valve, is that what you mean? My truck is a 2001 W900L

You need to hook up a second electric cord to the back of your truck, and run a wire from one of your switches. The way your trailer is set up, the previous owner had it set up to run under the trailer with the air lines. If your truck is not set up like that, you will need to move the plug to the front of the trailer.
