    Looking for power only work,live 25 miles south of Milwaukee WI,have my own dot number and will not lease,tired of that,clean mvr 8 yrs exp. want to stay in midwest home on weekends,need a comdata or fuel card and quick pay til i get back on my feet,last place i worked with totally hosed me,don't know if JBH,Schneider,etc are good,please give me some insight,THANK's for any suggestions and responses

    Hey Classic, Don't know if you have a Target DC or Wal Mart DC up near you.
    But down here they are using O/O for seasonal work. Don't know how they got on but I have seen them the past few weeks pulling in and out of Target DC in Newton, NC. Schnider and US Express are the main regular lines, might have to get info from the in house dispatchers. Worth a look.

    Will not lease but you need a comdata card??? Good luck because as far as I know no company will give you a comdata card w/o being leased to them. SNI requires you to have your own authority to pull their loads if you are not leased to them, and they deff will not give you a comdata card.

    Your only choice may be to lease with someone to get fuel since you don't seem to have any way of getting the funds to get it yourself. SNI does have their "choice" program tho which will allow you to choose your loads from their board and work when you want. Living in Wi you shoulod not have trouble getting home and good rates.

    Thank's for the replies NCB and SHC,SORRY i didn't reply earlier but i did find someone to work with, giving me a fuel card and paid the second week,so thats working for me and the wife,and to anyone wondering i'm not a freight thief,just a guy willing to work for some co. under my numbers and very loyal to the people that pay me. alway's professional BE SAFE OUT THERE.....

    I'm with SHC. Landstar has a bunch of drop and hook freight from what I've seen on our board. Not sure about other boards. Good luck with whatever you choose my friend. You should have no problems in the area where you live.
