I've never been able to make sense of power only. It seems I am expected to do the move for alot less than if I used my trailer but I still have my trailer sitting in the yard and it still costs me to have it sit there. I guess I am saving some rubber. WooHoo Big deal. I always quote PO moves the same as if they used my trailer and I haven't "won" any loads yet.

I've done a bunch of them. Even for JB Hunt thought not on their trailer. Never been for anyone advertising for power only contractors. Always been for someone in a pinch who'd pay well over round trip to get the load covered. Like anything else it pays very well if it needs to move.

Had my authority now for about 8 months and I still get emails from JB all the time wanting me to do Power Only. They say it is an average of $1.60 a mile and they dispatch you. Did get one recently where they talked about offering choices of loads but I did not pay much attention to it before I deleted it.
