I have a 02 pre egr isx that needs replacing & am havin a hard time finding one. My question is what would have to be changed in order to swap it over to a N14?
I figured the wiring harness would need an adapter but what else? Truck is a 03 model T600.
My engine is not rebuildable that is why I am considering the swap.
Pre egr ISX Cummins??

Every one was bought up years ago to put in new trucks that new ISX went bad on them, J/yard in atl,ga want 6,000 for a running one Kerns truck parts in forest park, GA, had two an I got the fuel pump off one for a C/note, just call and see if that helps, sorry thats all I know?

I already checked with kern's & they didn't have anything.

You can't get a re-man from Cummins?
-
i realy dont think the n14 is any better than a isx put a detroit or cat in it
-
That was my first thought also. Just get a remanned crate pre-egr ISX.

Yes for $24,411.00 per Cummins Nashville.25(2)+2 Thanks this.

Is that installed? Because time you buy a used engine roughly 5grand for install you have an unknown engine which will probably need a rebuild in the near future. Looking at roughly the same cost and have a warranty. And not double down time. Depending how long that used engine has been sitting expect a lot of repairs on gaskets. Most likely it will also start using oil

What happened that the one you have isn't fixable, kwswan?
