From what I've been reading you can bet "grab your ankles" is high on the list.

Well I will need to start somewhere and there is not a single trucking company people have have yet to compliment in this forum. I have come to a realization that people who complain on here have probably been laid off by just about every company listed in the US. If I chose Werner they have numerous opportunities and Ill try to stay positive and make this experience into an Adventure.

My friend started with Werner 3 months ago, as a student.

He's treated well, and thrilled to death.

He already has a local gig, in floriduh, and is home every weekend.

Sounds like a line of bull, but it's true.

    Good Luck to ya..........

    Zoltan1a and Spacecoast Thank this.

I am just trying to figure out what this company truly has to offer as most of the information on here is negative. I was told that they had regional opportunities out here in Vegas for me. If they say out 2 weeks and two home how accurate is it most of the time?

Don't know about your area,What I can tell you is my son was gone for 3 months while training and after he tested out & got his truck he was only allowed 3 full days home time. What you should do is go through the program and tell them what you want as far as regional. What is currently available for your area may or may not be when you're ready to run.So you take what you can get then keep pestering your DM for regional.Eventually you should get what you are looking for.

Obviously I am judging by what I read here. But I will also say that the director of the truck driving training program at my local community college told me point blank that if he has a student that is faced with Werner as their only choice he would advise them to take the house painting course instead.

All the big mega carriers treat you like crap..but you got to pay your dues to move on to something better. Werner mostly is a stepping stone to a better outfit...
