I can't get mine to work . I shelved it for a while and just re activated it . It don't seem to work . Can you change the battery ? I have the new style unit kinda oblong .
Maybe a test to check it I don't see a reset or buttons you could push in to hold or anything

The OE battery is a type AA but it is soldered to the board.

So you can't change it ?

If you can solder it I guess you could try. The case is riveted shut so you'll either have to drill them out or break it. I'd think since there set up this way you outta be able to exchange it but don't know.
Id be sure that you don't void the warranty or some weird reg by tampering with it before I did anything. -

Yep. Once it quits working you have to get it exchanged. Not supposed to try and replace battery.

Contact your Carrier's permit department and they will exchange your Pre-Pass unit, for you.
