I can't get mine to work . I shelved it for a while and just re activated it . It don't seem to work . Can you change the battery ? I have the new style unit kinda oblong .

Maybe a test to check it I don't see a reset or buttons you could push in to hold or anything

    Thanks

The OE battery is a type AA but it is soldered to the board.

If you can solder it I guess you could try. The case is riveted shut so you'll either have to drill them out or break it. I'd think since there set up this way you outta be able to exchange it but don't know.

Id be sure that you don't void the warranty or some weird reg by tampering with it before I did anything.

    Simple enough.

When it is not working, you contact IPASS and exchange it.

Yep. Once it quits working you have to get it exchanged. Not supposed to try and replace battery.

Contact your Carrier's permit department and they will exchange your Pre-Pass unit, for you.

We are talking about Pre-Pass, for the scales, not EZ Pass or I-Pass, for tolls, are we not?

Just call PrePass with your account number, etc. They will gladly overnight a new one to you, Hubby and I had ours replaced. When you get the new one, send the old one back, I would suggest insured w/ return receipt for proof that it was received!!
